Annual Art Fest Event

Our Annual Nurtury Art Fest was a success!  Each year, instead of doing our regular outdoor time for physical activities, we set up different art stations on our play yard as well as in the Art Studio and in the classroom for children to enjoy all the different types of art materials and media they can use.  This year’s stations include Plunger Painting, Fly Swatter Painting (which turned into finger painting), Ball In A Box Painting, Easel Art (with various types of materials to use for paint such as textured roller brushes, Q Tips, etc), Collage Table, Building Table and Glow In The Dark Felt Painting.  Self-expression is an important part of our school’s philosophy and what better way to do express it than art and get messy on this lovely summer morning!  Thank you to all of our parents who carved out some time during their morning to be with us.

Each year we honor and celebrate our Dads (Grandpas, Uncles and everyone) with a Father’s Day Adventure show and an early dinner.  We partner with Critter Squad each year and they bring different exotic animals for children and their Dads (Moms and anyone else are welcome to represent Dads who are unable to make it) to see and touch.  Their Lead Animal Keeper also provides educational information regarding each animal.  During this time, the children also create a special art project to give to their Dads (or Moms, Grandpas, Uncles) on this special day.  The past couple of years we served homemade tacos, which has become a favorite, their choice of meat (beef or soy chorizo), chips and salsa and homemade fruit drinks.  We love our Dads and we want to celebrate their presence in our lives!  Until next year!

The Nurtury will not be offering tour this Wednesday, June 7 at 10AM.  Unfortunately, we are short-staffed and we also have a field trip to the Library.  We apologize for the inconvenience.

Today is your day.

You’re off and away!”

Our annual Graduation & Family Potluck was well attended by family & friends.  Every year, each class has a special performance.  The graduating class usually has a special performance  and they do a post-diploma dance to end the night.  A few of our friends are going to Kindergarten and Transitional Kindergarten in the fall.  We are very fortunate to have been given the opportunity to be a part of their lives for the last 3 years.  We will certainly miss them but wish them all the best on their journey to school-age programs.
